If you do not agree, please do not use our services.About SinoMentorSinoMentor provides online Chinese language education and communication training services designed to help individuals improve their Mandarin Chinese skills and communicate more confidently.SinoMentor is not a law firm, an immigration service provider, a healthcare provider, an investment advisor, a tax advisor, an import-export agency, a logistics company, or a licensed professional consulting firm.All information provided by SinoMentor is intended for educational and informational purposes only.EligibilityYou must be at least eighteen (18) years old to purchase or use our services. Individuals aged 16 to 17 may use our services only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. We do not provide services to individuals under the age of 16.ServicesSinoMentor currently offers the following services:(a) China Capability Assessment
A one-time 50-minute live one-on-one session with a native Chinese teacher, delivered via the ClassIn platform. Includes level assessment, goal discussion, and a written personalized recommendation. The $17 fee is credited toward any subsequent purchase made within 30 days.(b) Three-Month Program
24 live one-on-one Chinese language sessions (50 minutes each) with a professional native Chinese teacher, delivered via ClassIn. Curriculum is personalized based on the China Capability Assessment results. Structured around the official HSK 3.0 syllabus (2026 edition). Valid for 180 days from purchase date. Includes a complimentary first month of Real China Sessions.(c) Six-Month Program
48 live one-on-one Chinese language sessions (50 minutes each) with a professional native Chinese teacher, delivered via ClassIn. Same curriculum quality and personalization as the Three-Month Program. Valid for 12 months from purchase date. Includes a complimentary first month of Real China Sessions.(d) Real China Sessions
A package of 8 live conversation practice sessions (25 minutes each) with a trained Chinese university student practice partner, delivered via ClassIn. Sessions focus on real-life communication scenarios personalized to the learner's interests and goals. Valid for 60 days from purchase date.Service availability may change from time to time. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service at our discretion.PlatformsAll lessons and sessions are delivered through ClassIn.Session scheduling is managed through Acuity Scheduling.Users are responsible for maintaining appropriate devices and internet access necessary to participate in sessions. Users should download and register for ClassIn before their first session.Payments and TaxesAll payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, who acts as our Merchant of Record. When you make a purchase, Paddle is the legal seller of record. Your receipt, invoice, and billing correspondence will come from Paddle.All prices are displayed in United States Dollars (USD) and are exclusive of applicable taxes. Sales tax, VAT, or GST will be calculated and added at checkout based on your billing location, as required by local law.Business customers may enter a valid VAT or Tax Identification Number at checkout. Where applicable, reverse-charge mechanism will apply.Prices may change from time to time. Price changes will not affect previously completed purchases.By purchasing, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Refund Policy.China Capability Assessment CreditThe $17 China Capability Assessment fee is credited toward any subsequent purchase (Three-Month Program, Six-Month Program, or Real China Sessions) made within 30 days of the assessment date.After 30 days, the credit expires and the $17 is non-refundable.The credit may be applied once and cannot be combined with other offers unless otherwise stated.Session Credits and ValiditySession credits must be used within the stated validity period:China Capability Assessment: Must be scheduled within 30 days of purchase.
Three-Month Program (24 sessions): 180 days from purchase date.
Six-Month Program (48 sessions): 12 months from purchase date.
Real China Sessions (8 sessions): 60 days from purchase date.Unused session credits expire at the end of the validity period and cannot be refunded, transferred, or extended, except at our sole discretion in cases of documented extraordinary circumstances.Session credits are personal and non-transferable.Complimentary Real China SessionsThree-Month Program and Six-Month Program include one complimentary month of Real China Sessions.This complimentary benefit is provided at no additional charge, has no separate cash value, is non-refundable, and is non-transferable.The complimentary month begins when activated and expires 30 days after activation, regardless of usage.Scheduling and AttendanceSessions are scheduled through Acuity Scheduling. Clients may book, reschedule, or cancel sessions subject to the policies below.Rescheduling and Cancellation
Individual sessions may be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge with at least 24 hours' notice before the scheduled start time. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice will be counted as completed and deducted from the session credit balance.No-Shows
If a client fails to join a scheduled session within 15 minutes of the start time without prior notice, the session will be marked as a no-show and deducted from the session credit balance.Cancellation by SinoMentor
If SinoMentor is unable to deliver a scheduled session due to teacher unavailability, platform technical failure, or other circumstances within our control, the session credit will be restored and the client will be offered a rescheduled session.Real China Sessions — Pause OptionUsers may request one pause of up to 30 cumulative days per Real China Sessions package by notifying us at least 48 hours in advance at [email protected].During a pause, the validity period of the package is extended by the number of paused days. No sessions are delivered during the pause period.Only one pause is permitted per package.RefundsRefunds are governed by our separate Refund Policy, available at refund.sinomentor.com.By purchasing any service, you agree to the Refund Policy in effect at the time of purchase.Recording of SessionsSessions are not recorded by default. Recording may be provided upon request and subject to mutual agreement.Users may not record, reproduce, distribute, publish, sell, or commercially exploit any session content without prior written permission from SinoMentor.Intellectual PropertyAll content provided by SinoMentor, including but not limited to texts, lesson materials, logos, graphics, videos, audio, trademarks, website content, and educational resources, remain the intellectual property of SinoMentor or their respective owners.Users may use materials solely for personal educational purposes. Users may not copy, redistribute, reproduce, or commercially exploit any content without prior written consent.User ConductUsers agree to:(a) Attend scheduled sessions on time and prepared.
(b) Treat teachers, practice partners, and staff with respect and professionalism.
(c) Not share ClassIn classroom links, login credentials, or lesson materials with third parties.
(d) Not record sessions without prior written consent.
(e) Provide accurate personal and billing information.
(f) Comply with the acceptable use policies of third-party platforms used in service delivery.SinoMentor reserves the right to suspend or terminate services in cases of inappropriate conduct, harassment, abusive language, discrimination, threats, or illegal activities.Non-CircumventionDuring active services and for twelve (12) months after termination, clients agree not to directly hire, solicit, or establish private commercial arrangements with SinoMentor teachers or practice partners outside the SinoMentor platform without prior written consent.SinoMentor reserves the right to seek appropriate remedies permitted by applicable law.Third-Party ServicesSinoMentor relies on third-party platforms and service providers, including but not limited to Paddle, Acuity Scheduling, ClassIn, and other operational service providers.Each third-party provider operates under its own terms and privacy policies. SinoMentor is not responsible for interruptions, outages, delays, or limitations caused by third-party services.DisclaimerAll services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we strive to provide accurate information and quality educational experiences, SinoMentor makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding uninterrupted availability, accuracy of information, learning outcomes, or fitness for a particular purpose.SinoMentor does not guarantee examination results, language proficiency levels, or any particular learning outcome. Individual results may vary.Limitation of LiabilityTo the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SinoMentor shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from the use of our services.Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the client for the specific service giving rise to the claim.Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.Force MajeureSinoMentor shall not be responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, wars, governmental actions, sanctions, internet failures, platform outages, power interruptions, or other force majeure events.PrivacyYour use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy (privacy.sinomentor.com) and Cookie Policy (cookies.sinomentor.com).Changes to These TermsWe may update these Terms from time to time. Updated versions will become effective upon publication. Material changes will be communicated via email to active clients at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of our services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.SeverabilityIf any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.Governing Law and JurisdictionThese Terms shall be governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms shall first be resolved through friendly consultation.
